PH effect on Alkalinity consumption

I know people talk a lot about the effect of rising PH and how it correlates to Alkalinity consumption. As can be seen in the graphs i usually keep PH between 8 and 8.2 and Alk between 9.2 and 9.5. This being a nice weekend we got to turn the air off and open up the house, well my PH jumped up to 8.45 and my Alk dropped to 8.63. I think it's time to put my kalk stirrer back online to raise my Alk consumption and grow some coral.

Yes. The effect is quite noticeable. I got more growth running co2 scrubbers.
