ph is low what do I do

ph is 7.4 how do I raise it I have some of the kalk stuff (that I got to kill glass anenomes) how much should I add in a 36 gallon tank thanks John

You can drip some of the kalkwasser in. Get a container and mix up like 1/2 cup with a gallon of water and wait till it settles a bit. Get some airline tubing and tie a knot in it loosely so you can control the flow. Start a siphon from the container into the tank at a steady drip, like two drops per second, and check the pH in an hour.

John, There may be many causes for your low pH. If you wouldn't mind answering some questions to give you the best advice possible.

What is your current alkalinity, calcium, and (if you have it) magnesium levels?
How are you measuring pH?
Have you had any recent die-off or a fish go missing?
How old is the tank?
Have you kept your place locked up pretty tight this winter?
