Here we go again . I ran into this problem when I started my tank the first time around. I went to two different LfS in north jersey and both of them had phosphates in the water. I measured 0.50. I hate to waste my time and call them up or tell then about it. The same thing will happen where they will look at me like im crazy and tell me my kit isnt working. Its a low concentration but if I am paying for clean RO water shouldnt I be provided phosphate free RO water??
I was going to purchase my own RO system but for ny small tank it would take awhile before I make that money back, and my wife will go ballistic if I spend another dime (she cant comprehend the fact I spend $200 on a light for my tank hahahah)
Not sure what to do. Maybe Ill have to travel farther for better water. Any ideas???
Hell ill be willing to purchase from someone closeby if they are willing to sell. I would fill up about once a month. LMK!!! Im in 07203
Ive been using red slime remover whoch removes phosphates from the water but I dont see this is as best practice as this causes fluctuations in O2 levels and pH
