Pink zoa's died quick

My pink zoa's went from opening full and about 6-9 heads to almost nothing over a 3 day period. I don't know what could have done this in such a short period of time and only affect the pinks. The other one's on the same rock all look fine. Any idea's or suggestions would be great.

Algae, happens to me once or twice, if the zoas get cover and can't open they pretty much melt away. What's your phosphate level? Also try and get those slim off the sand bed suck it out with a turkey baster or syphon it out.

Pink is for some reason a harder color to keep. I've suffered from that problem before with them. From what a few folks who deal with them have told me, they tend to be a deeper water zoa. I've found through trials and tribulations, that if they're in a shady spot they seem to open much better.

From the pictures it looks like you are suffering from some alge problems I would tend to lean towards the zoas getting aFfected by the alge maybe try and pull them out do a peroxide dip and see if maybe the open back up for you....

I would but they are all gone. It is now just nothing. Also I had these for about 2 months and they were fine up until thursday. Also the algea is only growing on the new rocks, and all the other zoa's are doing fine. O'well. I guess I'll just steer clear of the pinks when filling that spot.

check your zoos for nudis.. or small snails.. they are also a problem..in the future remove any algae and dip in revive to be sure all pests are off your zoos.
