Currently using a MP40, but it might get supplemented soon with an "Other" Jebo-WP40 or WP-25 lol

I am using 2 Vortech MP40W ES. I like the wide flow that they put out. The motor block is not in the tank. Wireless operation and the control of them. Batter Back-up and they are very easy to service. They also so have great customer service.

I am using 3 mp10s on my 55gal. This way I get even more randomized flow from different directions. Love em!

I originally was a Koralia believer. I had the old school K4’s and complained, like everyone else, of them starting in reverse. But they were reliable, and other then the reverse thing, were good powerheads. They ran forever.

The Evolutions came out….I bought four….and thought the reverse thing was corrected and life will be good. I laughed at the idiots buying Vortechs for $400+ dollars. I was spending $50 and had what I though was a fantastic “improved” powerhead. Bottom line, Evolutions are crap. I wished they still made the simple numbered ones…K1, K2, K3, K4. I’m sick of sending Hydor emails on all the issues I’ve had with my evolutions. First the redesigned wing piece…..all four. I’ve stopped the emails. Of the four originals, I’m down to one that has my repairs. The magnets split, the little rubber nub gets sucked out from starting in reverse and when running right, gets blown out into your tank. The front face gets mysteriously broken. The reverse starting literally breaks out the face of the powerhead….totally busted out. PIECES-O-CRAP.

I now have three MP40’s and one MP10 and am now dealing with the crappy bearings these overpriced things have. Yes, I’m an idiot.

It would be nice if someone made a reliable powerhead.

I’m ready to try the Chinese knockouts.

Jebo-WP40 or WP-25 being cheaper and new to the market I wounder if they are using cheaper parts like rust leaks from 'poorly sealed' magnets and offer lesser customer service. What if Tunze sued them and win. Then you will be out on warranty and parts. Just something to think about.

I run two Tunze 6065's (non-controllable) on two hour on/off cycles, and two Tunze 6025's for flow behind and through my rock work 24/7. I've been using them for years without a problem. I like the fact that I can direct the flow anywhere I want it, since I have a DSB, it's directed toward the surface.

I have 2 Tunze 6055's with there controller. No problem in the few years I've had them.

Sicce Voyager HP4000's... Great pumps. Start correct direct direction, silent, affordable. I've had a pair cycling on and off every minute for 18 months, not a peep. And if one fails, I can have a new one delivered next day via Amazon Prime.

And since I wouldn't be jpelzer if I didn't complain about Vortech: I've had a total of four of them, 1x MP40 and 3x MP10. I sold the MP40 because it was too loud, I'm using 2x MP10's in the frag tank (where the ability to turn them down is nice, and their noise isn't so annoying), and one had the wet side magnet rust until the thing split.

In the frag tank, a pump that could be angled would be better, but I had these pumps from a complete tank purchase.

Not recommended.

Using two Koralia 4's 12v with a WaveMaker 4.

Havent had one problem with them yet. Quiet, completely proggrammable, and gives good flow to the entire tank. Like that I can also add a couple smaller ones in tight spots and control them on a different cycle then the more powerful 4's.

Using (2) MP10s ...when I bought them 1 was DOA which they replaced immediately. Pumps have been good to me for a year now. I have actually found their sweet spot where I can put them on full flow and not even hear them.
