it's definitely old enough that I don't remember when i changed it. I'll drain it and add new gas. I'll check the spark plug as well.

Pravine I had to dump all the gas that was in my snow blower because it wouldn't start I put new gas and it started right up. I also stabilize all the gas for all my machines and it still went bad. The Ethenol soakes up water like a sponge. Hopefully your carberator doesn't need a rebuild. Good luck

Gas should not be left in any motor that isn't run regularly. Advanced Auto Parts will take those old fluids no matter what. I always drain the generator after use and the snow blower at the end of the season.

Definitely dump the gas and try to disconnect the fuel line to drain that as well. Also drain the float bowl on the carburetor to get all the old gas out of there too.

Once you've changed out the gas, the last resort would be to spray starting fluid (ether) into the carb and getting the engine to start.

What Kevin and Paul suggested is what I had to do to my generator. And now fires up without any hesitation.

I always make sure to run the engine till it stops after cutting the gasoline supply. Been doing this with my snow blower and generator and never had an issue with bad gas. I use seafoam as a stabilizer as directed as well.

ok great thanks for all the help guys. i ran out of gas after filling up the snow blower. will have to make sure gas was the issue tm.
