Powerhead Help

I have a 60 gallon cube 24" X 24" X 24". I have a Koralia 4 powerhead, but the flow appears to be too strong, and I am interested on what powerheads people like.

Since I will be looking to get a new powerhead, I was hoping others could provide their opinions on the best powerheads on the market that do not break the bank.

Are powerheads that rotate worth looking into?

I am currently keeping LPS, Softies, and Zoos. I plan to purchase SPS shortly.

You might want to look into getting two powerheads, that way you can go any route you want. We have 2 korlia #2s and love them on our 30g cube.

I use two Koralia 3's in my 92 gallon. I like them, they provide nice gentle flow...and corals are doing very well. Also have used Tunze, and still have as a backup if needed, but they were a little finnicky and would at times reverse flow on me when starting up..that's when I switched to Koralia.

Good topic! I have a new 75 gallon tank I just setup and was wondering which powerhead to get for it?

I heard great things about the Vortechs also, but was wondering if something cheaper like a Koralia 5 would be good enough for me? Tank is basically just one fish and water at the moment, but plan to add about 60+ lbs of live rock, a half dozen or so fish and various corals.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread Dave... but had the same question.
