pumps

Im currently running an underpowered mag 5 pump in my 72. Once I get my new 75 up and running I want to upgrade the pump. I've been looking around and honestly am not sure of the brands other than Mag. If I go with a mag im going to go for a 11.

Are there any other pumps that are worth looking at?

Well you're almost there.....your choice with MAG is either a 9.5 or a 12.....they have no 11.

Are you limiting your request to submersible pumps? If you are, MAG's run forever. I'm on the same MAG 9.5 with original impeller, cleaned only once, in the last four years.

thanks for the heads up paul, dont know where i got 11 from.

Id rather stick with a submersible, theres just something about knowing Ill be ok if it springs a leak

I agree with Paul,some things he knows well and this is one of em.They last almost forever and if you maintain them even maybe more.

looks like im going to go with a 9.5. Will easily double what I have now without breaking the bank.

I've been using a water blaster for about 8-9 months now. I like it better then the mag I replaced it for. It runs on less watts therefor less heat. I've used mag pumps for years and know there good pump thought.
