Question about manifold

Ok guys. I am slowly working on the design to pipe my tank so I can use my DCT4000 return pump. I plan on adding a manifold to the return line for my BRS dual reactor plus add a spare hook up. My question is what about on the drain? I like having my BRS reactor going into my filter sock (so all water entering my tank passes the filter sock first) I was thinking of adding manifolds to the drain line as well but concerned it might cause flow back into the reactors. Thoughts?

I'm not sure I'm following you....you want to tee or wye off your drain and then run that through "something?" Drains are passive (gravity fed), and you might have an issue running that flow through a reactor or whatever.....insufficient pressure.

I just built my first manifold.....specifically to feed a dual BRS reactor....and used a tee with a half inch female NPT that fit a quick connect 1/2 inch fitting to go directly into the BRS reactor.

Sorry my post was a little confusing. I am going to drive the reactors from the return pump with a manifold (just like you are) but I was talking about the drain of the reactor connecting to a manifold on the drain. Right now I have my tank drain, ATO feed, and reactor drain all going into my filter sock. I was wondering if I could connect the reactor drain to the tank drain.

A flow back is a concern of mine.

You can just put the output hose into the filter sock. I run a tee just like you are planning and output the hose right next to my filter sock. I don't feel the need to put it in the sock but I could. The water coming out has already been filtered. As long as the carbon is not being beat apart the water should be clear but it doesn't hurt to run it through the filter sock.

You could also have an impact from one or both sucking Italian principles.....I'm talking either Bernoulli or Venturi....causing the reactor to now have it's fluids sucked right out of it at a faster rate then desired. :D (Actually Bernoulli was Swiss, but it sounds Italian.:p)
