Question about Tangs

Ok I will admit I have put zero research into this. I just happen to get thinking and was wondering what others thoughts where. We know if we put like tangs in our tanks they tend to fight with each other. I wonder why they fight in our tanks be seem to get along in the wild (base off this video and some others I have seen )

Now I do understand there different between our tanks and the ocean mainly being space and hiding places.

I also know its suggested that if you were to keep like tangs its best to keep them in odd numbers and add them at the same time to help keep the aggression down.

Just wondering what other factors might play a role in this aggression.

The environment/habitat is completely different. For a small fish say a clown your tank is a reasonable facsimile. But for a large roaming fish like a tang it isn't really close. You can see in some really big tanks if you can get enough tangs they act more like they do in nature. In nature they stay together for protection but in your tank what is really bigger than them? Competition for food. If we sat and listed the differences I am sure we could think of even more.

I read that, my experience also is that, they do better in reef tanks where it is not so sterile....they like to pick and graze.
