Question on Metal Halides (10k 14k 20k)

I have a question for you guys, I currently am running a 10k Halide on my tank. (along with 2 60 watt actinics). It is moreso for asthetic purposes.. I do not house any corals (just tons of LR). Ive been looking around for pictures comparing the different kinds of MH bulbs.. I do not like the 10k look.. I want to go a little bluer, but before i buy the bulb, want to make sure i do not go TOO blue. If anyone has some pictures (or links to some pictures) directly comparing the differences, it is much appreciated! Thanks

I got one last week for my main tank and just ordered another one for my frag tank today. Not heavy on the blue side but makes the colors glow nicely like actinics.

Welcome to NJRC!

I have the Reeflux 10Ks and am anxious to switch to something with more blue. Reeflux 12 or 14ks is what we're looking at for the next bulb replacement. I had Coralvue 14ks before and really liked the color.

Exactly what I thought.. It would make more sense if there was a "k" for each bulb included. like 10k 14k 20k.. whatever.... Then I could tell the difference.. That picture ultimately tells me nothing, unless I just don't understand what the hell it is showing.. lol.. I have to write them.. Will post what I get back..

Ok here is what they are showing us in that link.

The Sunburst bulb is a 12K bulb, Ushio is a 10K bulb and the Iwasaki is a 6500K bulb.

However, They suggest we use this link instead to get bulb K and visuals:

I would like to see a 70w HQI 20K Ushio or Sunburst. That is what I want
