Second. I just wanted to share this monster of a Chocolate Chip Starfish. Had no idea they got this large. This is in a 10 gal. thats a normal sized one in the backround.

Can't really tell but it almost looks like a small barnacle shell...

And that star is having a file fish snack!!!!

I thought barnacles were white. This is brownish.

And the starfish was so big the file fish was using it as a hiding spot. I think if its still available when my 40gal is set up I'm getting it.

If the 40 is going to be a reef, that won't work so well. They are not reef-safe at all. My Harlequins would love to see that guy!

Most likely not going the way of the reef as it will take a lot of light due to how deep the tank is 32". Was thinking of making it a invert tank with maybe one fish.

I have no idea what it is, but i had one that was stuck on a large asterea snail i had gotten via group buy. I didn't want to introduce something i couldn't identify so I pulled out a flat head screwdriver to ply the thing off. It reminded me of some parasite I've seen on Star trek...LOL.

Did a little searching and it turns out that its a slipper snail. Its a harmless filterfeeder that just attaches to a hard surface(snail, rock, ect).
