I am working on packing up my apartment. I will be putting my tanks and equipment into a storage unit that is climate control. I was wondering what you guys thought about storing the following.

  • Salt (which will be in buckets with tight lids)
  • BRS GFO (opened but still in its container and lid)
  • BRS Carbon
  • BRS mag mix (just made the mix about 3 weeks ago)

I'd store it all. Just make sure the salt is sealed up good and tight....it's hygroscopic and likes to pick up moisture, and it it does, it will turn into a brick. With the GFO, again, make sure it's sealed up.....most are sold wet for a reason. Carbon is indestructible short of it picking up organics in the air....so again, make sure it's sealed up. And the mag solution is stable....nothing going to happen to that.
