recommendation corals for beginners of Nano 24g?

the digi would have to be all the way at the top...i would stay away from anything besides a digi for sps...and they need to be kept high in the tank.....the t5 lighting in the nano's is not equal to the t5 from a tecklighting fixture...That is an excellent size tank as well, if he ever wants to add MH fixture to it he can....Mushrooms grow like weeds aka no no....i would say frogspawn bam bam zoas(slow growers)..nothing really grows slow in a mature tank? Define a time period and we could help....

Yea, as long as you have an ok light, frogspawn, torch coral, all mushrooms and leathers are nice.

u can never ( almost never) go wrong with xenia.. but there are soem tanks that just arent meant for these buggers.

easy slow growers.... get some PPE's, Devil's armor's, Armegeddons, AOG's. and start a nice little zoa garden. Maybe some miini carpet nem's on the sand bed. as long as the lighting is good. Keep up with the water changes and you'll never have to dose again. ANd if you WC slow enough it'll slow the growth too. Since the softies are pretty hardy, they take the lack of nutrients by not growing as fast.

I agree with the water changes. I never had to dose doing weekly changes in my 12g nanocube
