Reefing goals

I apologize about this rumbling of ideas ahead of time, so here I go.
I was watching a video about coral spawning and I love the idea, so it got me thinking that will be a nice goal for me to try to get corals to spawn, and I went and talk to my wife and she told me she has requirements for me to start working on that.
She will like me to show my skills like 20 years ago and that means, get creatures in my tank to spawn first, then I asked her like what things and she said this: I want you to get 2 different kind of fish, 1 kind of shrimp and snails, so the intimidate goals I have for my fish tank right now will be getting pair of fish that I know can breed, like clown fish, cardinals and gobies, what you guys think about that any ideas and what are your personal goals in this beautiful hobby

My goal is to actually do something right ha ha way more screw ups then success but each screwup is a new learning curve. The way I see it I’ll never run out of questions

@Paulie 069 , tell me about it, when you comeback from a 15 year hiatus, you're like a newbie, so many new tech but at the end of the day is time and how diligent you are with your good husbandry* with the tank

My problem is I’m too diligent about my husbandry my OCD is my tanks worst enemy and all this time at home doesn’t help

So my first first reefing goal was a 6 month goal for the 90 gallon tank survival , since we made that the next 6 month goal is to maintain stability and promote coral growth in that system. Plan to bring my new sump system into play soon. Planning a 7" klir roller and now thinking about an algea scrubber as opposed to cheato refugium. Also looking to add a calcium reactor and dosing system.

60 gallon frag is almost up and running now, should be able to start putting that system to work soon . Just waiting on some final parts to get running . Ordered 1 AI hydra 64 to get started and will add another down the road shortly . Going to try that 1 light with a reef breeders add on to see how much coverage I can get then add as needed as I fill that tank.

Then for the 180 gallon penisula , waiting on my modular marine overflow to arrive, need to drill that in then the scary work will be done , the tank has been leak tested for 7 days with no issue, then had the overflows removed with out damaging anything . Custom stand and associated cabinetry are almost built . Plan is for that to be up and running in 6 months time, money will be the hold up here i believe . This will be added into to the 90's current system .

Alot of reefing goals here for us . Got alot started with the time off here recently. Let's see how close we come to reaching them . Will be interesting to look back here and see.

IM is tempting me with thier 15% off tank sales. I've been putting it into my shopping cart but then deleting it moments after.

My goal is to have a thriving big sps dominated tank (at least 240g), an lps/softie 120 or so, and an awesome frag system. (Along with a big planted discus tank) Maybe dabble into breeding some clowns for fun. Continue making all my furniture better and better each time. But that goal needs the "buy a house" goal to come true first hahah. I have the itch to go from my 40B to a 90 but when my wife finishes her grad program in 3 years odds are we will be on the move to that house but probably in another state so I am not sure it is worth the investment with such a window before having to pick it all up and move... unless I run into a sweet deal for a tank and stand combo since all my equipment (except having to get another 32HD probably) can handle to upgrade.

That in mind, shorter term goal is to just have plenty of happy and healthy corals to make sure I am super ready in knowledge (some little colonies too) to kick start those big tank dreams with confidence.
