Glad Rob sent a pic, first person I thought of when I read this. HIs sumps always look good, especially when established as he grows macro and such.
He told me he built that little rock hut in hopes smurfs might move in.
But its still a sump and will have heaters and pumps hanging about, skimmers filling with gunk, dirty socks (or cups), and growth of God knows what over 6 months.
Maybe if you were to build your stand so the opening only showed the middle of the sump, and you ran a center fuge like he does...
I ran a sump a while back where I split the tank in half of its width with a black panel. It was a pretty complex setup, but basically the entire front of the sump was set for a display.
Worked well when I had it, so much so I thought it might be something to market.
I'll see if I can find the links tomorrow. I think I had plans for the build in there, maybe it'll give you an idea or two.
