Regenerating GFO ?

Okay I need some help and I am sorry for the questions.
I have about 20 pounds of Brightwell FerroxiPhos-G GFO that I need to regenerate. I just got a TLF PhosBan Reactor 550 with a Maxi Jet 1200 and Roebic Crystal Drain Opener.
I will be filling the reactor with 750grams at a time. How much Roebic Crystal Drain Opener should I use and how much water will I need?

Next set of questions.
Brightwells GFO was dry in the container. Should I dry it back out or put it back damp?
If I store it damp in a sealed container is that Okay to do?

Thank you for your help with my questions.

I can't answer your question either, but for what it is worth..

The GFO I picked up from our group buy (years ago) came to me wet.

The PhosoBan I bought from PA, or Petsmart, came in a 500ml container and it was dry. I'm pretty sure it is the same thing..

I have been doing this for about a year but just in a bucket, not a reactor. The reactor is probably better but the bucket is just fine so far. 1/2cup (160g) NaOH in one gallon of water makes a 1 molar NaOH solution. One gallon of this treats 1 cup of GFO. I usually let it sit in the bucket for about 24hrs mixing occasionally. So you have to see how many cups your 20lbs is, but you are talking probably a couple jars of that Roebic.

I do wish there was some kind of chart out there that could tell you some thing like 500 grams of GFO, with 4 gallons of water and 150 grams of Crystal Drain Opener AKA "Lye"

I you read through that other thread it does state different amounts needed in different volumes, but you really have to look through it. Looking at it again, in post #98: Randy says you need 40 grams of solid NaOH (lye) to get 1 liter up to 1M, which is the recommended level. In other posts they say the solution should be about 3x the GFO volume.

Just use the above formula (40 grams per liter) to determine how much lye you need for whatever volume you decide to use. I only regen about 250grams (guessing) - single batch for me at a time, so the 1 liter mix works for me. I marked a plastic container with a 1 liter line, then I fill it to 1 liter with RO/DI, then I add the lye crystals. The last two times I used 50 grams, so I guess I can lower that amount, now that I re-read it. After it's all mixed, I add the GFO. I will occationally stir it. You should be able to do the same, just on a larger scale and running through the reactor, just run it slowly so it doesn't grid all up.

Isn't that what I just said above? 160g NaOH in 1 gal of water for 1 cup of GFO. Just weigh a cup of GFO and you have your answer.

I did get that. But it would be niceti just see a chart and know exactly what to mix. That is all I am saying.
