I did think of you when he replied. Now not sure it will fit on the end as the Marineland light sits length wise and was planning on putting skimmer on short end, 12 inches.
Not confident the light and skimmer will fit. If I get skimmer may have to get a new light.

The skimmer would fit on the short end no problem. As far as using a light that has feet that sit on the rim there is 4 1-2” between the intake and return. You’d likely have to remove the holding bracket and add a small spacer instead.

In my haste this morning added some live sand and then dry Aragonite sand and forgot to rinse it.
Dumb mistake. Also, got some shelves hung.

If it isn't too late, try hanging a filter sock inside the tank and use a pump like a maxijet to feed into the sock through a hose.

I have a small fuge I am using with filter material and a sponge filter to help clear the water.
