It always starts with some rigorous testing before I get living things in the tank, here is the counter testing for the controller for the Ridgeline Pico Scape. I have been excited for this design for a while!
The system includes programmable pump speed, full lighting control broken into 3 bands (actinic, cyan to yellow, orange to red) with independent control and dial for total brightness setting, ATO system, temp sensing and heater control, 2 dosing pumps with dial control, feeding mode switch, maintenance switch, show-off lighting switch, and a bunch of other fun stuff.
The scape is 3D printed from PETG to simulate high porosity rock. I went with a cave slightly off center to cover the pump, heater and thermometer. Ridges serpentine to the cave creating different zones of the tank. Zones of higher flow by the pump will have coarser substrate and the others will have an aesthetic amount of sand to contrast the black. Will post with first round of corals when I get some time to plant them!
