Rodi question

Changed my filters today on my rodi and my tds is telling me I have 98 in which is normal and 11 out :/ how can that be? Before I changed the filters I was at 2 on the out that's why I changed them now at 11 not sure what happened. I did get it to come down to 9 by using the flushing it I guess that's what I'm doing by turning the valve.
This is a BRS 4 stage rodi with the flush kit
Any help would be great

Thanks in advance

Hm thats weird. When I changed my a couple months ago it was easy as can be. Didn't have any different readings afterwards or anything. How old is ur unit? Maybe the membrane is bad?

When I first change mine it will run high for about 2-5 mins then drop down to 0. Try running it for a few mins see if it drops..

Took a couple hours of running it into the sink but it went to 0
Thanks Mike and Dan for your help

Do you flush the membrane before and after each use? They say it really extends the life of the membrane and removes crap before you start making water.

You should always flush before each use to get rid of the TDS creep as they call it. Think of it like the GFO that doesn't release phosphates back into the water, that is not the case with the membranes especially when they are not flowing. When you replace DI you will always get usually a minute or 2 of high TDS.
