do these sometimes streach out like this? (not bubble) could this be an issue?
Dave, I've had one for 7 years and has split about 4 times. It is usually very stringy like that, but occasionally it gets bulby ends. I haven't been able to figure out any rhyme or reason for this behavior. The guy I bought it from told me it was a different species? I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Some say i you over power it with light gradually and not shock it to have it bleach then it will puff up its tips- but thats only what i read im not sure- i wish i knew cause i want a rbta but would only be able to keep it if the tips were short and not able to sting my sps.
came from MikeM he has 250's I have 150's
so it was used to more light not less and had bubbles in his tank.

Mine does the same thing. She had bubbles when I just put her in the tank. Now I haven't seen any within last two months.

My red one bubbles but my green one does not.....both in the same tank. Go figure
