Sad Morning

I here you on the cost of a new addition salt water is an expensive hobby you go to the store you see a awesome specimen and then see the price an go hmm I'd love him but if he don't make it that's a lot of cash down the drain

Yeah. The price didn't bother me too much but if I keep having them jump that money builds up fast. If I saved the $30 I spent on him I could have had some more coral, inverts or another fish I wanted. I guess from now on, no fish that people say are jumpers. I really thought he wouldnt make it through the hole but he did..

Murphy's Law applies to fish as well.
My most expensive fish purchase was $100, not much by many folk, but as much as I'll ever spend on a fish (so I say ;) )
Sure enough, 48 hours later he jumped through a 2 inch opening, brained himself on the light and landed behind the full 90g tank, just out of reach by an inch.
Now I have a lot of clowns.

I have heard that if you have a jumper species you can bring them to a salon and get the fins pierced. Then you can load them with either small weights or heavy earrings (which are more fetching), increasing their drag and preventing jumping behavior.
