sailfin got his nose stuck in powerhead

okay so my 2" sailfin went to pick some algae off ther power head and got his hole face sucked in i pulled his off and he is still swimming around dom you think he will be okay?

if that can happen you might want to put a cover/something on the powerhead. What kind of PH? I'd watch the sailfin..if it can happen once...

If he is still eating he should be fine.

so as of this morning he looks okay and is eating okay, but has some bruising on his face

Sorry to hear this jr. If he's eating, he should be ok. Keep an eye on him.

You might want to try putting him in a QT tank for a couple weeks and use an antibacterial medication like Melafix. It will help some of the tissue to grow back.
