I use it and have had no problems for over two years in a mixed reef tank, params are stable and I do no supplementing, I do change 5gal of water twice a week on my 75gal tank, I also do not use RO water as they recomend so I cannot vouch for that use.

Here is a link to a salt water discussion on another forum, I hope it is OK to post here so I appologize in advance if it's not cool. I was the only one using this mix.

Rod, thanks for the info. I was like you using tap water and after being assaulted, just kidding, I bought an RO/DI unit. I am still not convinced it helps with LPS and softies. What types of coral do you keep? Did you ever test your tap water?

i think ds4x4 uses that salt brand. He likes it.

I think phyl does not like that brand - I forget why.

I have a bucket in my garage...haven't tried it yet.

Any particular reason why you want to use a new salt?

I believe high silicates and an algae bloom followed.

I used one bucket and I did notice an increase in algae. I'm back to TM.

I need salt and noticed that this was a few bucks cheaper, not by much. I was curious if it was any good. Anyway, Magic is selling me his bucket of Reef crystals since he switched to TM. Thanks everyone.

We had a pretty good algae outbreak with it. We switched and the algae went away. I wouldn't use it, personally.
