I’ve had mine since not long after I started. Seems to be doing just fine. No idea how to gauge how effective it is though. I’d consider adding a second one if they’re really beneficial. Snails seem to require regular replenishment and can be hard to find.I have seen them for sale. They just die of starvation so most hobbyist learned to avoid them.
Everything I've read is that they need 5-7 inches of fine sand bed, with coarser material to line the burrow withMike - how deep a sand bed you need for the pearly or they just build with whatever sand is in there?
