During last Monty's meeting, I noticed that Brian had a screen on his tank. Is there directions out there for making one of these? Also Brian did you get the mesh from brs? I have a standard 55 so may not need that much of it.

No, the screen is clear plastic mesh and will not rust. It comes in 2 sizes, 1/2" and 1/4" openings.

I have the 1/4" to keep my Firefish in the tank.

Get the mesh from BRS but don't buy the frame there. The frames they sell are limited to 24". I bought one not knowing this and it's sitting in my garage as I have a 36" long tank. Buy the frame from Lowe's or HD they are 1/2 the price and you'll get a much longer piece.

Did the same thing. 1/4 inch screen from BRS, the window frame kit from HD, then flat black Krylon fusion paint to match the tank trim. Looks great and durable.
