What an ugly set up. Who helped you build that system. They should be banned from building tanks hahah

Since the last death, I was thinking that the rocks may be holding too much fen for the tank. So I disconnected that filter, leaving the sponge filter going until I could get to it (the sponge filter was my first filtration for the qt and this tank so didn't see a problem with it). This morning Ammonia was at .25. Not bad but if they still had to deal with the fen, may have been too much for her.

I threw out those rocks and water from the hob and put new from 20 gallon in, did partial water change and we will see.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear u lost a pony I of all know how much it hurts having just lost my closest seahorse. I hope what u did helps with the rest. Please keep us updated with this

Great on the aeration!
My babies are tiny tiny lol They just look big because of the camera shot. Remember, this is a 2.5 gallon tank and that grating has 1/4 inch squares, But now that I think about it, you are right. When my erectus had babies they were tiny too but many many more. Maybe that is why
The four are doing well so far :eagerness: although one will swim in spinning circles and give up on the bottom so I will help it onto a hitch.
And tonight everyone looks better since I worked on it.

Awesome glad to hear that their doing well. When I first got Stumpy about 2 months later he had a typhoon of babies I’ll post pic and if u blow it up u can see all the tiny babies

So tank is running. No gravel yet as I some one suggested dry sand. Going to research first.

k a little stressed but moving is stressful on everybody lol. Be good to my buddies and good luck. Sand gravel don’t matter or make difference but they’ve been living with gravel bout year and way they suck in food they will also be sucking in sand. But that’s what they probably did in the wild

Train to go to feeding trough. I used a big oyster shell :eagerness:
