O man that's a low blow.
Normally, I would think about it, but after getting my July meeting blown off at the last minute for the Elos meeting, I think that my meeting hosting days are over.

Since the Vp is unable to host. What about the president? Will his wife let him? Already asked mine she said hell now.

Sorry to hear that Herb. I would have loved to swing by, easy ride, great food, happy atmosphere....oh and a amazing tank!

i checked with Feng, he is OK to host the meeting on October 26th (Saturday) if needed.

His 800 Gallon display tank is amazing. I believe a host is needed for Sep not October.
The September meeting announcement and RSVP page will be going up shortly, but first, I wanted to respond to a few topics in this thread...
Ed, I would love to host a meeting but my townhouse is way too small and parking is very limited unless people wanted to park very far away and walk. Even if the parking wasn't a major issue, it would be crowded with any more than 8-10 people in my house. Not an ideal location for a meeting unfortunately.
My wife has always supported me in this hobby and all the things I do for/with this club so if the situation was different I wouldn't have an issue about it from her.
Herbie, I am truly sorry you were upset by the change in venue for the July meeting. I do not feel like we blew you off at the last minute though and hopefully our PM history about the meeting will show everyone else that we tried our best to do what was best for the club:
To be honest, we also asked Herbie to switch months earlier in the year to take July instead (which he agreed to with no complaints at the time). But, when I didn't hear from him for almost a week after requesting the date for July... we got worried that he might not still be interested due to the first change request. When the Elos option presented itself, and given the fact that it gave us both a meeting date and a convenient way to complete our Invert group buy... the BOD agreed that this was in the best interest of the club. We were scrambling and we thought we couldn't take the risk of passing that up. We also were hoping that Herbie's willingness to cooperate in the past would mean that he would understand the situation.
Again Herb, I am truly sorry if this upset you and I hope you can understand why we had to make the change. Believe me, it was hard for us to make that decision.
David, please tell Feng that we would love to have a meeting at his store. However, the September meeting was just finalized this weekend and Dan_K has already requested to take October this weekend too. Is there any way that Feng could do one in November? That would fill us out for the year, leaving us only with the Holiday party in December. Let me know what he says about that.
