Just FYI for anyone with one of these or considering one: Once it's out of warranty...
They don't like to sell replacement motors. They told me "after we mark it up, it is just $20 less than the cost of new pump."
They did offer to sell me a new pump at a discount.
For those who consider themselves handy, please note that the Fasco motor used on the regular Dart is an OEM motor and not available from local or internet electric motor suppliers. It's not rebuildable, you can't take it apart.
They are nice people and will sell or give you a replacement seal kit, but just so you know.
I have had two of these start to leak within less than a year and I think in future I will use magnetic drive pumps.
The regular pumps have a one-year warranty, the gold pumps have a five year warranty.
