Setting up for the first time this weekend, is my plan a good one?

All went well...

Followed my original plan and added RO water to fill the entire system and turned on the heater and pumps. No leaks. I let the water heat up for a few hours and then added the salt.

I let that cycle for 24 Hrs. then adjusted the salinity or 1.025 by removing tank water and replacing it with RO water until I had the right level.

I added a bag of live sand and a few chunks of like rocks from OGII. I only had enough for three pieces so I'll have to get some more over the next few weeks.

At least this is cycle time and I'm in no hurry

make sure to place LR first, then LS.
otherwise, over time the rocks work will shift... and can cause crash down

You might also see a mini cycle of sorts when you add more live rock, depending on the die off during transport. If you can try to transport submerged in water if you have far to go. That should keep that die off to a minimum.

malulu hooked me up with some nice rock tonight. There was a few interesting sponge like creature attached to them. I'm well on my thanks to him. His tank is awesome by the way.

I'll try and post a pic of what was attached to one of the rocks to see what you think it might be.
