Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Looking good Karen. It's always exciting seeing a new build come together. My one comment are the legs on the two stands/tables. It appears that the screws are holding the weight on the table tops. This isn't good if you are putting a decent amount of weight up there....and with the saltwater eating at those screws. However, there is an easy fix of just adding supporting legs that directly take the weight of the top.
I'll show you with a picture. It would appear that your stands/tables were built with the green legs only. You need to add at least one purple leg to each corner. Accurately cut these additional pieces and attach to the green legs with screws.
It looks like you want to go minimalistic. Gives you a lot of room for corals now I am slightly ocd and that shelf one piece to the right(if you're looking at the tank) is slanted and is slowly driving me insane.
Thank you Tony, it was difficult. Not to get the go ahead for the upgrade but to drill through the floor. Praveen, i understand about the slant but funny thing I did that on purpose.
I don't think the rock is too much...if you wanted you have a nice couple of rocks with some holes that you could move to the right and make one larger island off to the left...I did it cutting and pasting but it appears that I cannot upload from work. Will send it home to try to show you what I am thinking.
Looks great. Patience...yes..it is a testament to that !!!!! .and I am getting impatient...too long getting mine up and running....your making me jealous....LOL. Looking forward seeing more pics!
So the long wait is over. I finally cycled tank and added livestock from the 55. LEDs in canopy looking great. Rob, the canopy looks even better on the tank.
