Should I Change my Ballast?

I have an <a href="http://www.current-usa.com/outerorbithqit5ho.html">outer orbit light</a> for my tank.

I recently purchased a new bulb at MACNA, and the guy mentioned that the ballasts that come with a fixture like mine almost always under drive the bulb.

Does anyone have any experience with this?  Is it worth changing out the ballast?  I am assuming I will be able to change out the ballast without too much trouble, but this may not be accurate.

I changed the ballasts out in my outer orbit, but I have the pc version. I don't know if the ballasts are under driven or not and I can't help you much with that. The ballasts weren't that hard to change out. I would make sure the ones you get fit in there though. The fit is kinda tight.
