I am no expert, but those two photos look like a young Rhode Island Red ROOSTER!!! Now I'm wondering how many cock-a-doodle-doo's before we've having chicken dinner? The only good news is that they don't start vocalizing until about 4 to 5 months....enough time to find some nice recipes. :oo:

No dinner here lol I would not Eat my chicken!!! The oldest is already vocalizing but I can’t hear it inside the house!!! It’s a beautiful animal

It's not so much your ears, but your neighbors and your local town ordinances. My town allows chickens at residential homes, but no roosters.

When I lived in Neptune we could have chickens and roosters. I donated the rooster to the popcorn zoo because i didn't want him to annoy my neighbors. When we get chickens again this spring they will be all hens.

I noticed this one don’t make a big vocal hit like others do!!! They were in the house this morning and my wife didn’t hear it and gave me time to bring it to the basement… now she knows they not that Noisy as the others

I’ll have a rooster that will give away, cannot put too many Inside the chicken coop even though it’s really big because if there’s too many of them they will fight..
if anyone here want one that doesn’t make too much noise let me know I’m happy to share.
