Show me how your Duncan’s look in your tank if you own any. Do you feed them do they like your flow let’s talk about Duncan’s. I show you mine don’t mind the photo bomber

Here is one of ours. Seems to like quite a bit of flow. And is a pig at dinner time.

I don't feed mine specifically, but they are directly under where I typically put in my frozen food so they absolutely grab anything the fish miss. Keep mine in a lower flow area and they seem to do well there.

I just bought another four heads that are smaller than these. If you make it up to my place in November I'd be happy to swap something for them. I can grab some pics of those later if you want them.

I got some nice rainbow nems if your interested in one.
They have multiplying naturally for a while in my tank and have finally slowed down

Most of them a couple years. I haven't counted the heads in a long time lol.

tell you guys this, i bought one about 2 years ago was pretty much 1 head with a tiny stub coming out had it in my 10gallon for a good 10 months zero growth at all was always open always eating would feed shrimp and pellets mostly never grew i upgraded to my 32g biocube 6 months now 20+ heads haha

What would you attribute to the growth. Can’t be water volume. Was it lighting, flow. Nutrients, Parameters. Any guess at all

personally i think just stability and actually leaving the tank alone in my honest opinion i would always mess with the rocks and such, i now barely touch the tank usually squirt some mysis at the heads, light was the same movement same, nutrients i would say the same i usually do a water change every other week and from time to time i dose some calc other than that its the same.

Fair enough. I think I hear stability more than any one thing as the number one contributor to success. And if you make adjustments. Just one thing at a time and let things settle before judging if what you did was beneficial
