Shrimp

I have 2 bare bottom tanks- one with a falco hawk and a 13 gal (sand bottom) with 2 peppermint shrimp- would like to add a shrimp(s) that's/are visable to all 3 tanks- any recommendations

Coral banded shrimp look nice and are pretty bold. But they can occasionally take out other stuff (including smaller peppermint shrimp). Otherwise skunk cleaners or fire shrimp though those are a little less out and about in my experience. Really depends on your other tank inhabitants. They also have to be big enough to not become a tasty snack for the Falco hawk.

I've read that coral banded might be good for the tank without the hawk ( no shrimp are safe with it ). I am thinking about sexy shrimp for the 13 gal- read that i should have multiples- 3 or more

I think you're going to have to decide if you want the hawk or shrimp. I decided on shrimp and love my fire and cleaner.

i had a couple sexy shrimp that were OK for awhile in my 26 gallon tank a few years ago. They were hard to find and would periodically move from one anemone to the other, so I spent a lot of time looking for them.

In the past year, I’ve added 3 of them to a 20 gallon tank. They’ve all disappeared really quickly. So you definitely need a small tank and the biggest sexy shrimp you can find if you want to be able to see them.

Falco hawks are supposed to be the most invert safe of the hawks. I have one in my DT with 3 skunk cleaner shrimp and a coral banded. All of them are doing fine. As long as your coral banded is decent sized, I don’t think anything will mess with it. On the other hand, a CBS will take out any smaller shrimp that it can catch (I’m pretty sure it got the peppermints that I had in there).

anyone have any experience with sexy shrimp- thinking for the 13 gal
I have kept a group of sexy shrimp in our 30g nano for about 5years. I have them with maxi mini anemones. I started with five, I am down to three at present. I like them. Easy to keep, peaceful, and as long as you have a nem, out all the time.
