Skimmer for 20 gal nano

I'm looking for a skimmer for my sons 20 gal tank, I would rather not have a hang on one they just look to bad. Is there one that can go under without having it be an in sump design?

I think weekly waterchanges pretty much take the place of a skimmer in a small tank. Of course it doesn't hurt to add one. There are a few in-tank designs if that is an option

Well I just switched from a HOB Prizim skimmer on my sons 20gal. It worked well for that tank. It can also be used insump as well. I replaced it with a SC65/SCA301 skimmer. They are a knockoff bubble magus NAC 3.5. Working great so far, and can be forund on ebay here.

I had to read this a few times. Then I reread the first post. So you don't have a sump? And you also want to stay away from HOB right? If so then I'm at a loss.

Figured that would be the case. I've been wanting to put a sump on this tank for a while maybe it's time. It's been running with an ehim and a hob filter for about two years now. Makes doing anything like the skimmer a problem. This way I can put a small refugium and get the skimmer in.

Definitely go with a sump, it gives you a lot more water volume and keeps all your equipment hidden!
