Skimmer Pump

Water change and maintenance cleaning today. I discovered my ASM G3 skimmer was starting and stopping. I pulled the pump and the impeller is very rough I cleaned it but wouldn't start back up. I ended putting a little bit of Vaseline on it and it worked but not functioning 100%.

I decided to use my backup skimmer but noticed the wire is pulled away from the pump. Is there any possible way to fix this? It starts but worried about stray voltage, electric shock, etc. Pics below.

Can you source a replacement? Get it running and have the old one fixed for a back up.
I have the ASM running but I doubt at max capacity. I have to adjust it too much to get any foam into the cup. If I pull the tube any higher will disconnect from the skimmer.
New pumps is around $115 for either skimmer.

I think I will take nightmarepl up on his offer of mailing it for fix to use as a backup. I will order a new pump for the ASM skimmer.

I forgot to mention that upon installing the new pump this piece is missing from the skimmer. is it really needed and if so where can I get it?

Is that the inlet port for the pump? If so, yes, you need that.

If you can't find that part, I'd first see if a Uniseal would work:

Yes, it's where pump attaches to skimmer body. I must have list when I was cleaning it

Home Depot and Lowes truly suck. Checked on-line and they had the 3/4 inch grommet went to both stores and nothing. I ordered it from Amazon inside Lowes and will be here tomorrow. The elbow from pump to skimmer says 3/4" on it.

I am definitely overworked. The uniseal arrived today but looked to small but went to place it on the skimmer and it was already there. Apparently, it came off when I took out the pump and was there the whole time and I didn't realize it.
