How often does everyone dump out there collection cups? I'm just curious, with my reef octopus I had emptied it every week and a half and that was at halfway in the cup. Obviously with my new one I'm not sure yet as its only 2 days old and just started foaming but its still white foam.

Every 2-3 days. I have a decent bioload and dose vinegar.
If I did not have an external drain probably every 3-4 days. I always clean the neck and cup at least once a week and pump impellor and tubing every other week.

I cleaned my cup Friday. I'll clean it again today. I could let it go longer but the neck gets really gunked up. I try to keep the neck as clean as possible.
Wow. My skimmers have never looked like that!... I do plan on having a heavy stock so I'm sure that'll change but wow. Lol
