Skimmer Upgrade?

i dont. it is a 55g tank, so it is 48 inches long and 12.6 inches wide. it is partioned into the sections- 1st section is 13 inches was going to be where the skimmer went, also the where the overflows are piped to. second area is 22 inches, was supposed to be for the refugium. and the 3rd area is 13 inches for the the heaters and return pumps. i am contemplating not even doing a refugium now and using that middle area for a larger skimmer.

Have you considered moving one of the baffles, your sump doesn't have to look pretty and it won't if you do but I think a refugium is important aspect of any reef.

the sump & tank are already full. just trying to iron out a leaking bulkhead. although i know its not too late, i am not really too keen on the idea of moving the baffles at this point. i think i am just going to go with the ASM G-3 for the time being. I can get a used one for $170. This way I can still have the refugium. Then later on down the road I can always find a way to incorporate a larger skimmer if need be. i do not plan on having a heavy load fish anyhow. maybe 5-6 total.
