So we are finally getting around to setting up our second tank to our system/ fish room .
The first being our 90 gallon that is closing in on being up for 6 months now. One of these days I should really write up that build just for chits and giggles, but I have to dig up the photos to really document it well. Here is a current pic of that tank for reference .
This new tank is a 60 gallon frag tank , that will be on it's own separate system from my main display tank / sump system. This will be primararly for grow out . With the 180 coming online next in our system we will be needing a bunch more corals lol.
I scored this tank thru Facebook marketplace from a divorce sale shortly after I set the 90 up, his pain was my gain. I picked the tank up for $100 which was already great in my opinion , but also included with it was a 20 gallon tank that I moved along , and around 30 lbs of rock. It also included all the plumbing for the durso overflow and return side loc line fittings. Pic the day I picked it up before a good cleaning
A large rack stand was built in my basement fishroom to hold the frag tank @ eye level up above the 40 gallon breeder sump after building the stand it received a good coat of black high gloss paint for protection. I have added some more trimnpeices that will recieve a contrasting color paint coat soon . I also added some vinyl sheet on the back wall to keep moisture issues down on the sheetrocked wall.
The plan was to also include some qt tanks on this stand so it was built over sized .its still a bit of a mess , but you get the idea .tank has received a nice razor blade scraping and a soak . Still needs a bit more but there's time for that later.
I am cramming a ton of stuff in a really small area in my fish room. Space is really limited down here . This used to be part of my fishing rod building area , but has now been repurposed , so it's a tight fit but I believe I am making it work to the best of my ability. Edwin ecam had stopped by and he can tell you I got a lot going on down there , I am kinda crazy lol and may need help.
