Thanks! In person it's awesome! I need to invest in a good camera instead of iPhone pics. Between the planet and my pearl berry I cant get true color shots
I wish I had a food close up of when I unburied the rock . I came close to chucking the rock quite a few times. When the day lights are on the colors really pop. Maybe one of these days I'll be home before they go off
So it's been a while so here's a pic
I still look at it daily and shake my head remembering it was buried in the sand for quite a few months and was dead a while. Lmao
I started using kalk(Mrs. Wages) in my ATO, when WC's alone were no longer enough to keep up with my demand. This was good for a while, but ultimately I had to start using a two part solution. I get the Calcium Chloride from BRS, and use A&H baking soda for my alk(I bake it in the oven for an hour to make it into soda ash), and use Randy's recipe #1, and this calculator. I kept the kalk in my ATO as part of my dosing regiment.
I guess i better get a test kit also. Other than a ph monitor, I haven't tested since April. My ro/Di feeds direct to a float in the sump so ill need to goto a drip system. Ill check out brs, I have alot of brs buks to cash in on
New test kit shows good results
cal 460
Mag 1400
Ph 8.3
Dk 9
Salt .025
Ill test over the next week to see what the consumption rate is. What I'm curious about is why my levels have remained stable with very few water changes and no dosing? I even ran Mr water through my pinpoint system at my pool store and cal, all,ph were pretty close so I know the kit and my testing were accurate
