Starboard with bare bottom

I've made the decision to go bare bottom in my tank. I was initially thinking about putting down 1/4 inch black starboard but wondered if I should bother if it will eventually just be covered in coraline and coral. Has anyone run a bare bottom tank for a while and wished they had or hadn't used starboard?

I think it would be good to have. Keep the glass safe if something were to fall and also keep the rocks more stable.

I have it on the bottom of my 120. Really like it, rocks and stuff that fall do no harm. If I need to chisel scrape off a coral....go for it.

Thanks guys. Im going to order it from a local plastics supplier tomorrow and will probably go with black.
