Starboard

So I'm thinking about pulling my sand out. Whats the best place to get some starboard? Prefer black. I don't plan to silicone it down, since I'm going to try to do this on my tank while its running, think this will cause issues with detritus and junk getting trapped under the board?

I have it on my 120. No silicone, the rock work makes a great weight seal. Dimensions are measured for non silicone part of glass floor, this way it sits perfectly flat against glass. Downbeach had a link up a while ago. I love it!

I have used cutting boards with the same results. Rock and sand holds it down. Putting a base down before the rock is really the way to go.

i wasnt able to find starboard locally around me, granted i didnt look too hard. the guy at home depot looked at me like i was crazy haha. i had some leftover azek that i used but that stuff is $100 a sheet.

Starboard is cutting board material and can be found in large sheets at commercial resturant supply houses in varying thichnesses. And as far as "what is it," it's high density polyethylene (HDPE).

I also want to put this in my new tank, but I have euro bracing. Any suggestions on getting this in my tank in one piece would be appreciated.

Many people just use it under their rock work, so you don't have to cover the whole bottom if you don't want to. You can also just cut it into pieces that will fit though your top, and piece it together on the bottom.
