Storm projects. What are you working on?

Since I'm home with my son. I figured I'd work on some stuff I've been waning to do. Namely making my frag tank more presentable. So today I made a new rack out of some scrap 1/4" acrylic I had around. Also used some threaded nylon rod to make some shelves at different levels.
Here is the tank now.

Gotta wait a bit more till I put it in though. Pics later. In the meantime I guess I'll cut some frags.

Wow! Looks good.

I’ve been sucked into the incessant reporting on Sandy, sitting on my fat you-know-what watching TV. . I did make 15 gallons of fresh saltwater. Does that count?

Looks good! I'm getting ready to do what I can when we lose power.
Some foam board I had laying around. I cut it to size and will tape it to the tank if my temp starts slipping. I only had enough for three sides but better than nothing. I hang a blanket on the other side.

Aerator and back up batteries. If the batteries die. I'll siphon a few gallons of water out of the DT and pour in back in the tank for aeration

That's pretty groovy looking. What'd you use for the legs/columns?

I had some nylon rod that I just cut to size and some nylon nuts to keep them there. I've been eying up the racks from The Blue Glow, but they want to much $. I figured for the time being this would work.

Paul the water does count. I made 15 myself. And did a WC in the frag tank and my sons nano.

Got the rack in. It's a bit empty though. I'll have to remedy that this Saturday. So much cleaner looking though.

In second pic I found some aluminum brackets at Home Depot I really don't like doors the front maybe weighs 10lbs and it lifts right up and I have total access to the sump area plus I think it gives it a clean look. It has a top and bottom bracket on the door and on the stand and they lock right in it works great

Looks good Dan.

I've been browsing DIY tank stands for about the last 3-4 hours. Trying to come up with a good design for my new 120 I picked up from Brandon (DS4x4) on Sunday. It's a single/corner overflow and the tanks going beside a half-wall that divides two rooms, so I need the Peninsula look.

I'm thinking about adding a sealed off section on one side of it to house all of my controller equipment and power boxes, etc... with electrical conduit for all the wiring to the sump.

Not much of a project, but I figured I'd do an extra water change and redip the corals in QT. After that I sat as stared at the tank thinking how PO'd I will be if I lose everything after all I've done to treat it.
