Stupid question regarding servicing TYPHOON III AQUARIUM RO DI 75 or 100 GPD

Bought this unit 6 years ago and have never done anything to it. Used it for a year, and then started buying my water due to some house issues.

What would I have to do to start using this again? Do I need to replace the membranes? Or just turn on the faucet and go? I'm so out of the loop that I've been lapped by the loop several times. But I know I need to get away from driving an hour to pay for picking up saltwater. The cost is one thing, but I don't have the time to do that every week. Need to get the ro/di back up and running.

Or is this unit now crap and needs to be replaced?
Thanks

I would definitely buy a new sediment filter and carbon blocks (and DI). I'm not directly familiar with this unit, but if it doesn't have TDS capability, I'd pick up a TDS tester and use it to check the membrane. Most good membranes for 75 gpd have a rejection rate of about 98 percent. Test the TDS of incoming "raw" water and outgoing (non DI) water to see if it's about 98 percent. If it is, you're good to go.

Well even sealed it loses its capacity over time. So it won't be unusable but won't last as long in use. I would always still use it, just monitor tds out like usual

If the membrane was stored dry I would definitely get a new one. Once wet membranes need to be kept wet when stored from my understanding. Also a sitting membrane likely has micro-organisms and other things growing on it. I personally wouldn't risk it.

Is the membrane and di resin need to be specific to this exact RODI? I don't think they make this one anymore and want to make sure I'm getting the right stuff. Was looking for a video on how to swap stuff out but there's nothing out there. Hoping it's not difficult to figure out.
