That run their own business and they didn’t pay for a booth. I think the real problem is the show has gotten to expensive for local small frag shops.
They need to find a smaller location with a cheaper price. Then they can sell the booths for cheap and everyone wins.

I believe it varies in size, the link in the op states that they would charge a fee of $700 for the booth....I'm guessing larger ones would be more.

That’s for a non vendor pass. I believe booths start in the $1200-1500 range.
