Bought one and placed it under a shelf rock to shield light. It has not opened up yet. Should I leave it be or move it some place else.

it was probably being fed during the day - which is why it opened when it did. When are you feeding it? You may need to "train" it by covering it when feeding (or taking it out and placing in a cup with food). Good luck! They are beautiful and I used to diligently feed each polyp. I gave mine away when i couldn't feed it that often.

That is how I was able to see some polyps, feeding during the day. Just wondering if positioning is okay; does it need more or less light?
