how bad was it to catch all those fish?

Actually not that bad. I have a home made acrylic trap. They were always very good eaters. So all it took was a couple of days with nori and mysis in the trap :)

They key is to NOT get the most resilient one first since she is the one that others follow :)

I just finished the plumbing on mine tonight. I went with an 80w emperor aquatics unit. I also picked up a flow valve so I know exactly what my flow thru it is since everything I've read says proper flow is key.

I looked at that as well. Both are equally good. Which pump are you using for it? I might borrow your flow meter if you do not mind.

So I was downstairs today and spend sometime with my fish. I guess they have been a little mad with me since I have not been down there for a week or so.

I was surprised to see that my mustard tang had a slash on her dorsal fin. Nothing really bad but a clear sign of violence.

I started observing and was very surprised to see that we have a new leader in the tangs!

The achilles has taken over the tank and overthrown the Powder Blue. She is the one who gave the mustard a beating. She was hogging the nori sheet :).

Good thing I have two feeding stations in the tank. Everyone else was picking at the other one.

Quite a turn around I would say ...

Thanks everyone. The UV goes in tomorrow. So hopefully the situation with fish will get better :)

Beautiful tank! I was wondering if your using anything else for lighting or is it all led? And when your taking your pictures are you using any filters or photoshop for color? I'm only asking because there is so many people claiming led only wont work for sps. I'm thinking of getting rid of my mh and going led. Thanks for your time jason

I Run AI LED on my tank. It was all LED for about 9 months and the SPS growth was phenomenal. However the AI does not have green/red spectrum. So I added T5 as supplements about 4 months ago. The reds and metallic green are amazing under the combo.

I do not use photoshop or any filter. I just keep ISO at 800 and use manual mode.

Hope this helped.

Sunny.

Sunny, I'm also going to assume you "white balance" the camera as well?? I know I need to do that with 20K units I have, or the color is waaaaaayyy off.

Paul, I do adjust WB once in a while. It depends on how bright the tank is when I take photos. I never keep it auto though.
