Sunny's 350G build (was 150)

Sunny,

First off thank you for allowing Tri and I in your beautiful home and the opportunity to view your beautiful tank. One day I will copy your setup :)!

Also I got the lights installed and hung both about 16" off the water line, 2 of them at 70, 80, 80 are lighting up the tank very well! I do not think I need a 3rd at all.

Thanks again!

Brandon

And Sunny, posting a picture like this:

and saying this is how the lights look when they're not on, is not acceptable. :p

The new lights are installed

Hello All

Last night around 3:00 AM the lights were finally installed and my tank is now lit with Fathom LED(s).

First I would like to thank the Fathom LED team for catering the lights to my liking and congratulate them on a job well done.

They were very enthusiastic, yes even at 3:00 AM and worked on each and every detail for installing the lights on my tank. They build the rails as well and gave me a lot of flexibility so that I can move these lights back and forth and up and down.

Now that these lights are installed, I can tell you that I am very happy with the colors of both my fish and corals. How the corals will do in the long run is still to be seen but as of now the lights look promising.

I would suggest that is you are in the market for LED lights then you should look into these lights. You can also PM me for any specifics if you do please so.

Now some pics of the lights and the tank under the new lights :-

Sunny, They look Amazing.
A few of us were at Allquatics eariler trying to guess who you went with. Apollo and Maxspect were mentioned, but I remembered a vendor on MR that set up in Ritchie's(rkaragozler) Tank. Just couldn't remember the name. They looked great in his tank and to be honest with the SPS they look even better in yours. Hopefully I can see this up close soon. Good luck and in eight months, right before I replace the 8 T5's again I expect a full unbiased review.

Congrats on the LEDs! Your tank is amazing and I seriously could stare at it infinatum! For those who have yet to see, maybe Sunny can host a meeting?

Apollo and Maxspect are big guys. They do not come to your house and build the LED units on site. They do not hang a light up and say hmm, lets try clear optics, or opaque. Fathom guys literally build all combination to show me how it will look. It was awesome.

And Yes, Richie is the guy.

Wow! Looking good Sunny.

What do I see…..seven Pharos?

Keep us up to date on how they perform.

Paul

I have 10 of them running at 75% at the moment , 16 inches over water.

1. Sunny made me cry. I walked in... looked at his tank.. and started crying. I had never seen something.. so.. Beautiful...
2. Then he made me cry again when he said that he didn't frag anything yet!
3. Then I think we forgot Brando's Frag Pack.
4. Then I didn't want to leave because it was so awesome.

Sunny told me the secret.....Now.. I'm doing what hes doing. Hoping for the same results hehe.

So far so good. Some corals are responding very well. Still need to watch. Too early to say anything.

Sunny I upped the white to 40% and Decreased the AI' Blues to 85% In Prep for the Additin of the T5's Friday. What do you reccomend I run in the T5's?

At my Disposal I have
Wave Point Actinic Blues
Geissman Actinics
ATI Purp+
ATI Blue+
UVL 75/25

P.S. - Since I started running the RB and the Blue approx 50% more than the Whites I've found that for growth upping the whites to 65% during the "High Noon" point of the day gives me growth while the 40/80 W/B Ratio gives me the color. I was hesitant running the AI's 100% AT ALL but a quick Seneye PAR reading (from a friend who stopped by for frags) showed I was about 1000+ at the water level and about 250 on the sand bed. I think 14" was the right spot.

How many bulbs are you adding?

Right now Just 2 - I have 2 EcoXotic Blue+ Magenta Stunner Strips running as well. If the T5's don't color shift to what I want I might sell the Stunner Strips and add another retro kit. I definately have enough light (4 SolBlues) Now I'm just about getting that Spectrum in there.
