t5 bulb combination

It's really color preferance in my mind. I asked the same question a while back and a lot of the combinations that were suggested to me I thought was too "blue". So I always have atleast 2 10k bulbs just too cut some of the blue.

For my 6 bulb ati, 3xblue+, 2xcoral+, 1xpink/purple whatever they call it. Really good combo of color and growth.

when you say 3x blue r you talking the aquablue, blue plus or actinic or doesnt it matter

For what its worth i have a 8bulb and run the same set-up and mnat only I add 2 more Blue+. I like things a bit more blue and I dislike the way the Purple+ looks so I may switch it for another Coral+ which has a bit of purple in it.

Sorry I was abbrieviating, blue+ is the blue plus bulb. It really is their best bulb as far as color to par ratio. You don't need to run actinics with them at all which don't really pump out the par. The coral plus bulbs are like a 14k and add just enough white to not entirely blue it out. The pink/purple bulb just adds a little more coral.

I just hung my new ATI fixtures over my DT today and went with 5 blue+, 4 coral+ and 1 purple+. Love the combo when they are all on. Might add some reefbrites for some added pop during the dusk and dawn periods.
